چکیده

The rational utilization of solid waste has always been a worldwide concern. In this study, coal fly ash (CFA) and red mud (RM) were used in combination to synthesize efficient heavy metal adsorbents. A new way resource recycling was provided with the collaborative reuse CFA RM. To obtain modified composite materials, RM mixed melted three ratios. After modification, these materials then utilized adsorb Pb, Cu, Cd water both single ternary systems. physicochemical properties CFA, RM, measured by X-ray diffraction analysis, energy dispersive spectroscopy, scanning electron microscope, Fourier transform infrared vibrating sample magnetometer, surface area analyzer, porosity analyzer. systems, effects material dosage, solution pH, initial concentration metals, adsorption time discussed, results better fitted Langmuir isotherm pseudo-second-order kinetic. It discovered that had greater specific (63.83 m2/g) than alone, as well superior capacity magnetic characteristics. capacities C1R4 for 149.81 mg/g, 135.96 127.82 mg/g system, while those Cu decreased slightly preferential order ions Pb > Cd. Among best capacity.

Competitive Adsorption of Cu, Ni, Pb, and Cd from Aqueous Solution Onto Fly Ash-Based Linde F(K) Zeolite

The reaction of fly ash with a KOH solution was used to synthesize Linde F(K) zeolite, following which Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy were used to characterize the crystalline material. The competitive adsorption of Cu, Ni, Pb, and Cd onto this zeolite was subsequently studied in quaternary solution systems. The results show that the metal removal rates gradually increase with incr...

Comparison study of phosphorus adsorption on different waste solids: Fly ash, red mud and ferric-alum water treatment residues.

The adsorption of phosphorus (P) onto three industrial solid wastes (fly ash, red mud and ferric-alum water treatment residual (FAR)) and their modified materials was studied systematically via batch experiments. Compared with two natural adsorbents (zeolite and diatomite), three solid wastes possessed a higher adsorption capacity for P because of the higher Fe, Al and Ca contents. After modifi...

Impacts of pH and ammonia on the leaching of Cu(II) and Cd(II) from coal fly ash.

Many coal-fired power plants are implementing ammonia-based technologies to reduce NO(x) emissions. Excess ammonia in the flue gas often deposits on the coal fly ash. Ammonia can form complexes with many heavy metals and change the leaching characteristics of these metals. This research tends to develop a fundamental understanding of the ammonia impact on the leaching of some heavy metals, exem...

Adsorption of Cu(II) from Aqueous Solution on Fly Ash Based Linde F (K) Zeolite

The work focuses on the removing of Cu(II) from aqueous solution by Linde F(K) zeolite. The zeolite is synthesized from fly ash by hydrothermal process. The adsorption experiments discuss several factors including the optimal solution pH, zeolite dosage, adsorption temperature, adsorption kinetics and adsorption isotherm equation. The results show that, the optima...
